Esmeralda De La Rosa Verdy

My Journey

My name is Esmeralda De La Rosa Verdy, and I am a first-generation Mexican-American daughter born of two immigrant parents.

I was fortunate enough to grow up in a strong cultural environment where I saw my Mom and tias come together to care for and love one another during pregnancy and postpartum. It was really there that my love for women and infant care grew.

In high school, I was very interested in the midwifery world and, after several years of school and changed degrees, I realized that doula work was where I was being called to serve. I am passionate about providing personalized care to women that helps them feel empowered in the birthing process. There is a mission here with motherhood and babies and I want to give myself wholeheartedly.

The name “DoulaRosa” originally came from a punny joke my husband had made. I prayed about a name for a long time and, in a humorous and peaceful way, God affirmed it. It brings a lot of love to my paternal last name, De La Rosa, which I value so much. “Rosa” means “Rose” in Spanish and a rose might just be one of the most beautiful and delicate flowers to exist. It is my hope, Mamma, that you can see yourself blooming and opening up like a rose as you fill the room with delicate beauty.

My Mission

Family Focused

I am a Birth Doula who educates, supports and coaches women and their families throughout the childbirth process. I believe that all women and babies deserve the dignity of a joy-filled birth. The goal of childbirth should not only be to survive but to thrive in labor. Birth is intimate, vulnerable, and sacred, and you deserve bedside hands-on care that makes you feel important and loved. Mamma, you are strong, beautiful, and a vessel that brings forth new life. It is my mission to educate and support you with those truths in mind. Your body was made for this!
